Technology Lifecycle

Have a problem create technology.
It eventually breaks, repeat with new technology to solve the same problem - and the technology induced - new problem.
Repeat.
Eventually it gets too complicated so scrap everything and start over - trying to solve the same simple basic problem with re-invented old technology wrapped in a new name.
