Marie Antoinette Making a Comeback?

One of the most famous quotes attributed to this last Queen of France, Marie Antoinette, is "Let them eat cake." Most scholars have come to the conclusion she never really said that phrase but it was pure "PR Spin" by the Revolutionaries of France telling people she did. And telling the poor to "Let them eat cake"  - which was a luxury to bake a cake instead of bread which they already could not afford, just helped incite the revolution.
Cake is made from refined flour and other ingredients which was more expensive than what they could already afford, so it this phrase was used to paint how out of torch and how uncaring she - and thus the whole monarchy - was with the plight of the French people.
On March 17, 2008 a news article stated that wheat futures for Winter Wheat in 2009 is up to $24 a bushel - three times as what it is now which is almost at a record itself. This price spike is due to the US taking out wheat to put in corn (per state and Federal bribes - called subsidies) so we can all drive "green cars." Remember  this fact when you go and get your Latte for $6 and your pastry for $8.00 in 2009 that the high prices are due to the "Green movement" to replace food with fuel - so as you complaint about it change that famous phrase and vocalize another one to be:  "Have your cake and drive it too."
